Ricky Hatton says he will quit boxing for good if he wins a world title during the second chapter of his career.

And he told The Daily Telegraph he would also reconsider his comeback should he underperform on his return against Vyacheslav Senchenko.

"If I win a world title that will be it, I will walk away," said the 34-year-old, who makes his ring return in a 10-rounder next month.

"But win lose or draw on November 24 if it's not there, and if I'm not up to it, I'll walk away, too. I'll have done what I needed to."

Hatton won world titles at light-welterweight and welterweight in the middle of the last decade but has not fought since being knocked out by Manny Pacquiao in 2009.

He is returning at the higher division and claims to be 10lb off the limit of 10st 7lb just over a month before the fight.

Victory over Senchenko will immediately place the 'Hitman' back towards the top of the world rankings with the promise of a title shot within 12 months.
