Jarkko Nieminen: Advanced to second round with victory over Tobias Kamke
Jarkko Nieminen of Finland overcame Germany's Tobias Kamke in straight sets to advance to the second round of the Stockholm Open on Monday.
Nieminen reached last year's final in Sweden before losing to Gael Monfils and looked in solid form once again as he saw off Kamke.
Having won the first set 6-3, he fell 4-2 behind in the second before reeling off four consecutive games to progress.
"I lost focus and made some simple mistakes but then I woke up and started playing more aggressive," the Finnstated afterwards.
I'm really happy I was able to win in two sets."
Russia's Mikhail Youzhny joined Nieminen in the second round as he cruised past American Brian Baker for the loss of just four games, winning 6-3 6-1.
