Knill: We must be brave

Scunthorpe boss Alan Knill took the positives out of his side's 1-1 home draw with Brentford which leaves them anchored in the bottom three.

After Clayton Donaldson had fired a penalty wide for the visitors, a great first-half solo effort from Harry Forrester gave the Bees the lead until a 77th-minute equaliser from Scunthorpe's on-loan striker Leon Clarke, his sixth goal in eight games, saved the home side from a fourth successive defeat.

"This is not where I want us to be," Knill said. "I feel for the supporters at the moment. They turn up wanting to see us do well and be entertained.

"And it's only us who can effect that and the only way we can do that is to go out and be brave and be positive.

"This was a game that was important for us to get something out of and it is credit to the players that we have.

"It gives us something to build on, to go forward again."
