Paris Saint Germain defender Diego Lugano could be set for a move back to Brazil with Gremio.

The Uruguayan ace moved to the French capital last year from Fenerbahce, but he has played just a dozen games.

Having previously starred for Sao Paulo in Brazil, he is being strongly linked with Gremio.

Juan Figer, his agent , told Lancenet: "Gremio are among the clubs that showed interest after the last transfer window closed. But there is some distance between an interest and an offer.

Figer added: "There are matters beyond financial ones. But we have good relations with the club's board, so it's something we can discuss. So far the only offer was from Fluminense, in the last transfer window."

Lugano's PSG team-mate Nene, is also being tipped to move back to his native Brazil.
