Justin Rose: Making his Australian Open debut
Ryder Cup hero Justin Rose has confirmed that he will make his debut in the Australian Open in December.
The 32-year-old adds international weight to a field including former US Open champion Geoff Ogilvy, world No 6 Adam Scott and defending champion Greg Chalmers.
Eight-time major winner Tom Watson will also be making the trip to The Lakes in Sydney.
Rose is currently taking a break after playing a vital role in Europe's sensational win at Medinah, winning the last two holes to snatch a priceless point against Phil Mickelson on the final day.
"This will be my Australian Open debut and the tournament has a history of wonderful champions and I hope I can add my name to that list in December," Rose said.
The world No 5, runner-up at the Tour Championship last month, tasted victory in Melbourne in 2006 when he lifted the Australian Masters title at Huntingdale.
