St Nicholas Abbey: Entered in the Woodbine International
Aidan O'Brien has handed entries to Imperial Monarch and St Nicholas Abbey for the Pattison Canadian International at Woodbine on October 14.
Imperial Monarch has had a somewhat truncated season but after a troubled passage in the French Derby he returned to the continent to win a Group One at Longchamp in July.
O'Brien has been trying to win a Group One over 10 furlongs with St Nicholas Abbey but he was blown away by Frankel at York and finished behind Snow Fairy and Nathaniel in the Irish Champion Stakes.
O'Brien has also entered the progressive Chamonix and Treasure Beach.
Dermot Weld has a couple of possibles with Ribblesdale winner Princess Highway and Sapphire.
Joshua Tree could be back for a third go, having won the race for O'Brien two years ago and having finished second last year for his current trainer Marco Botti.
Dandino, Lay Time and Black Spirit are also entered while Wigmore Hall and the Godolphin trio of Songcraft, Retrieve and Willing Foe form part of a strong overseas contingent.
