Brian McDermott: Knows trips to Wigan and St Helens are both difficult

Leeds Rhinos coach Brian McDermott is not worrying about who the champions will be taking on next week for a place in the Grand Final.

Friday's surprise 27-20 win over Catalan Dragons means Leeds are now 80 minutes away from an Old Trafford return having finished fifth in the Super League table.

League Leaders' Shield winners Wigan with either pick Leeds or the winners of Saturday's Warrington v Hull FC clash in the controversial club call system.

Should Wigan opt against picking Leeds then the Rhinos would travel to Langtree Park to face St Helens, an opposition who embarrassed the club 46-6 in March.

McDermott knows both teams will provide stern opposition, stating there is little point getting carried away with their recent form until they win silverware in Manchester.

Unconcerned

"At this stage I'm not really bothered," McDermott told the club's official website.

"When we are willing to work and display the determination we showed last night, pretty much anything is achievable.

"Either option next week is going to be a tough game. We've got to keep control of this.

"This is a big win but all it is does is take us to the next round of the play-offs, we haven't won anything."
