Warrington can ill afford any more mistakes when they tackle Hull FC if they are to secure a first-ever Grand Final appearance.
The Wolves finished second in the table, but they surrendered home-field advantage after suffering 28-6 defeat to St Helens last weekend.
Hull are now the next opponents for Tony Smith's side following a 46-10 success over Huddersfield on Sunday, a result that eliminated the Giants from the play-offs.
The two teams played out a 20-20 draw when they met at KC Stadium to start the campaign with Warrington taking the points on home soil by a 40-18 scoreline back in June.
Wolves' Garreth Carvell has lost his race for fitness but full-back Brett Hodgson is named in Smith's 19-man squad. Both players suffered back spasms in last week's loss to Saints.
Prop Carvell joins Ben Westwood on the sidelines, although Ben Harrison returns to the squad to bolster the pack.
"Our players are quick learners. We take a look at things and rectify the best we can and we've been going through those processes," Smith told the Warrington Guardian.
"I've got a lot of faith in this team and playing our best game I'm pretty confident they can bounce back strongly.
"We've worked hard all year to get a second chance and hopefully that's our 'below-our-standard' performance for this year."
Sydney Roosters-bound Sam Moa will not now play again for Hull after being ruled out for the rest of the season due to a bicep injury.
Head coach Peter Gentle is keen for his troops to improve their last-play options, stating Warrington are second to none in that area.
"We need to improve our last play options," Gentle told the Hull Daily Mail.
"Warrington attack the kicker better than any other side in the competition and they are going to put our kicking game under the pump.
"We were pretty ordinary last week to be honest in that area, so we have to improve."
