Wilfried Zaha: Crystal Palace teenager has earned a host of Premier League admirers

Crystal Palace manager Dougie Freedman insists it would take a big offer to lure teenage star Wilfried Zaha away from Selhurst Park.

Zaha, 19, was targeted by a host of Premier League clubs during the summer transfer window following a series of impressive displays for the Championship side last season.

The England Under 21 international has started the new campaign in a similar vein and sparkled in the Eagles' 1-0 win at South London rivals Charlton on Friday.

But Freedman believes Zaha, who made his 100th appearance for the Eagles at the Valley, is not yet ready for a top-flight move.

"Wilfried's got a five-year contract and as far as I can see he's going nowhere right now," said the Scot.

"If the right club approaches myself then I'll talk to the chairman.

"If enough money is put in front of the chairman then he'll decide. It's as simple as that.

"Wilfried's got a long way to go. He's a young player learning his trade and I think there's no better place right now than Crystal Palace to learn it."
