Leeds United manager Neil Warnock says he is waiting to hear back over potential loan signings as he looks to bolster his midfield.

The Whites head to Cardiff City in the Championship on Saturday without the services of injured midfield pair Paul Green and David Norris, while Michael Brown is also suffering with a hamstring problem.

Warnock has turned to the loan market in hope of providing some cover and expects to know more in the next few days.

"We're going to have to use it sensibly," he told Leeds' official website. "If we lose two or three we'll have to do it, and that's what we're looking to do.

"We've asked about a couple of midfield players and we should know early this week because we need someone in there. We're looking at what there is around."

The manager added: "Rodolph Austin is also away (on international duty with Jamaica) this week and will have had two games to play so we're hoping he comes back okay.

"He won't be back until Friday and it is horrific when they have all that traveling to do."
