Barker wary despite good start

Manager Richie Barker is staying grounded despite Crawley Town's impressive start to the season with a third win in four league games.

A 72nd-minute goal from on-loan striker Nicky Ajose proved enough to condemn Leyton Orient to a third successive league defeat at the Broadfield Stadium. Barker was quick to admit he would have gladly taken nine points from four games at the beginning of the season following the Reds' back-to-back promotions, but he warned of difficult challenges ahead. "I would have taken nine points as we have already played two of the favourites to go up and we are new to the league," said Barker. "We won back-to-back promotions but we must be careful we don't get carried away. We have just played against a side that has been in the division for 10 years and there will be difficult times ahead. Games like this can be difficult and there will be more of them."
