Team of the week
Wes Foderingham - Swindon Town
Swindon have made a solid start to life in League One following their promotion as League Two champions and are yet to concede a goal in their opening two fixtures. Foderingham proved a solid last line of defence in their opening day draw at Hartlepool and Tuesday's success against Crawley.
Zoumana Bakayogo - Tranmere Rovers
Tranmere's eye-catching opening to the new campaign is based on more than just their attacking talent, with the Rovers backline conceding just once so far. Bakayogo has contributed at both ends of the park, with the opener against Leyton Orient and a clean sheet in the triumph at Carlisle.
Jamie McCombe - Doncaster Rovers
Doncaster look to be adjusting well to life in League One and are among three teams with a 100 per cent record from their first two fixtures. McCombe was an integral member of their sound defence for the victories over Walsall and Bury which see them among the early pace-setters.
Dean Leacock - Notts County
Notts County are another side in League One to have taken six points from the six available with a defence that has been breached just once a cornerstone of their solid start. Former Derby man Leacock, who arrived on a free from Leyton Orient this summer, has settled immediately.
Jay McEveley - Swindon Town
McEveley made the permanent move to the County Ground this summer after a successful loan spell from Barnsley in the second half of last season. The former Blackburn player has had something of a nomadic existence to date, but will be keen to put down roots with Paolo Di Canio's side.
Andy Robinson - Tranmere Rovers
Robinson deservedly grabbed the headlines after his hat-trick in the midweek victory over Carlisle, where he found the net twice in the opening 19 minutes before completing his treble after the break. The former Leeds and Swansea man is already well on course to better last season's tally of four.
Kyle Bennett - Doncaster Rovers
Bennett has made a perfect start to the new campaign with Doncaster after their demotion from the Championship, finding the net in their opening day success away to Walsall, before repeating the feat against Bury at the Keepmoat Stadium just three days later.
Daniel Powell - MK Dons
MK Dons winger Powell continued to demonstrate his considerable attacking threat with goals against Oldham and Bournemouth, with his strike against the Cherries arguably more significant as it helped secure a point for the 10-man visitors following the early dismissal of Alan Smith.
James Hayter - Yeovil
Hayter has made an immediate impression on the Yeovil faithful following his summer switch from Doncaster. The former Bournemouth forward made his home bow in the 1-1 draw with Coventry before opening his account for the Glovers with a brace in the 3-1 win away to Brentford.
Francois Zoko - Notts County
Notts County's position among the front-runners owes much to the contribution of former Carlisle striker Zoko, who marked a dream debut for the Magpies with a goal in the victory at Crewe, before continuing his hot streak with another in the Meadow Lane triumph against Hartlepool.
Chris Brown - Doncaster Rovers
Brown managed just 12 appearances and only three goals for Rovers last term and has already matched that return for the new season. After finding the net in the Capital One Cup clash with York, he made telling contributions against Walsall and Bury in League One action.
