Bryan Oviedo says he would be prepared to consider his options after admitting speculation linking him with a move to Manchester United has given him extra motivation.

FC Copenhagen full-back Oviedo has emerged on the radar of Premier League clubs, with the Red Devils and Everton both reported to be admirers of the 23-year-old.

United appear to be in the market for a new left-back to provide competition for Patrice Evra after Brazilian youngster Fabio was allowed to join Queens Park Rangers on a season-long loan.

Everton, meanwhile, have been linked with a bid for Oviedo as a possible replacement for Leighton Baines, who is reportedly wanted by United.

Oviedo says he is currently happy with Copenhagen, but may review his future if he receives an offer from a major club.

Proud

"I was very proud the first time I saw my name in the English newspapers regarding interest from Manchester United and it made me even more motivated and determined to improve as a player," Oviedo told bold.dk.

"It is very important for my career that the big teams know who I am.

"At the moment I'm happy to stay in Copenhagen, where my home is, but I have to seriously consider my options if I get an interesting offer.

"I have to decide what is best for my family and me."

French side Lille have also been linked with a move for Oviedo, who would reportedly cost in the region of €2.5million (£2m).
