Reckless Abandon: An exciting horse to have
Impressive Royal Ascot winner Reckless Abandon is on course to take in the Prix Robert Papin at Maisons-Laffitte on Sunday.
Clive Cox reports his unbeaten Norfolk Stakes victor to be ready for his crack at another Group Two as he takes a small step up in trip to five and a half furlongs.
"He goes to France on Sunday and I'm very pleased with him," said the Lambourn trainer.
"Obviously, he's an exciting horse to have.
"At the moment the ground over there is grand. It never gets too dry over there, but I think they've had a slightly drier time than us."
There are currently 13 possibles for the juvenile feature, including three more from Britain - Richard Hannon's Sir Prancealot, Roger Varian's Morawij and Cay Verde from Mick Channon's stable.
