ECB reprimand for Durham fast bowler

Durham seamer Liam Plunkett has been reprimanded by the England and Wales Cricket Board for bowling an accidental beamer during his county's Friends Life t20 match against Nottinghamshire on June 29. Plunkett was reported by umpires Nick Cook and David Millns for a level one breach of the ECB's disciplinary code. The 27-year-old, who has played nine Tests and 29 ODIs for England, was barred from bowling for the remainder of the innings. He finished with figures of 0-34 from 1.5 overs. "He has received a reprimand," confirmed the ECB in a statement. "This penalty will remain on his record for a period of two years and the accumulation of nine or more penalty points in any two year period will result in an automatic suspension."
