Jonny Lomax: suffered a rib injury in action for his club on Friday night
St Helens half-back Jonny Lomax has pulled out of England's squad for Wednesday's match against the Exiles due to a rib injury.
Lomax , who had been called up from the England Knights squad for the second match of the Origin series, was forced off in the final minute of his club's 34-28 Super League win over Hull KR on Friday night.
England, who won the opener at Saints' Langtree Park home, announced the news about the 21-year-old's withdrawal on their official Twitter account.
It is another blow for Lomax, who was set to play for England in last autumn's Four Nations until picking up an ankle injury in the Grand Final.
Hull KR hooker Josh Hodgson has been called up to take his place in coach Steve McNamara's 19-man squad.
