Newcastle: Going ahead after passing an inspection
Thursday afternoon's meeting at Newcastle goes ahead following a 12pm course inspection.
Heavy rain had put the fixture in jeopardy, but a delegation of racing officials were happy with conditions following an assessment of the Gosforth Park circuit.
The going is currently heavy.
Newcastle are also due to race on Friday and Saturday, with the John Smith's Northumberland Plate the feature race at the weekend.
