Fast bowler added to ODI squad to face Sri Lanka

In-form pace bowler Sohail Tanvir has been added to the Pakistan squad for their forthcoming five-match one-day international series against Sri Lanka. The left-arm fast bowler was named man-of-the-series for the recent Twenty20 games between the two countries. Tanvir, who failed to make the original one-day squad, has been included at the request of team managers and will replace opening batsman Nasir Jamshed after the left-hander was ruled out with a broken finger. Chief selector Iqbal Qasim said in a statement: "In view of the request from the team management and keeping in consideration the current form of Tanvir, the selection committee has decided that he may be retained for the one one-day series in Sri Lanka." The ODI series begins on June 7 and it is not known whether Tanvir's inclusion in the squad will affect his schedule at Worcestershire. The Royals had signed him for the second half of their T20 campaign this summer.
