Wigan full-back wants to win the cup again

Wigan Warriors full-back Sam Tomkins insists the Carnegie Challenge Cup holders are determined to succeed at Wembley again. The DW Stadium side lifted the cup last season following a 28-18 triumph over the Leeds Rhinos, their first success in the competition since beating St Helens in 2002. Tomkins and co would love a swift return to Wembley and moved into the quarter-finals of the competition with victory over brave Featherstone Rovers on Friday. Many of the Stobart Super League's big guns remain in the hat for Tuesday's draw and Tomkins insists Wigan are treating the competition very seriously.

Importance

"You play in Super League and the main goal is the Grand Final in October," commented Tomkins. "In the Challenge Cup, it's knockout rugby and it's massively important. "Everyone in the team and the town are passionate about the Challenge Cup so we know the importance of it. There's no time to have an off-day. "Every Challenge Cup is another opportunity to get to Wembley. We had a great weekend there last year and we all want to experience that again."
