No place for leg-spinner in squad for third Test against Australia

West Indies have dropped leg-spinner Devendra Bishoo from their 13-man squad for the final Test against Australia in Dominica, starting on April 23. Bishoo played in the series opener, claiming a solitary victim in 53 overs as West Indies went down to a three-wicket defeat in Barbados, and was 12th man for the draw in Trinidad. Middle-order batsman Kirk Edwards is also omitted after failing to recover from the leg injury that kept him out of the second Test. In Edwards' place, West Indies have called up uncapped batsman Assad Fudadin, who has been in good form for Guyana this season. "Fudadin has been a member of the West Indies A team for a while now and we have seen signs of development and improvement," said chairman of selectors Clyde Butts. "This year he batted well in the regional four-day tournament, and made over 500 runs including two centuries. He was very consistent in the middle-order. He can also bowl medium pace and that is an asset." West Indies squad: Darren Sammy (capt), Adrian Barath, Carlton Baugh (wkt), Kraigg Brathwaite, Darren Bravo, Shivnarine Chanderpaul, Narsingh Deonarine, Fidel Edwards, Assad Fudadin, Kieran Powell, Ravi Rampaul, Kemar Roach, Shane Shillingford
