Heath L'Estrange: Cited for alleged dangerous tackle on Jamie Peacock
Bradford hooker Heath L'Estrange is facing punishment for the offence which earned his team-mate Bryn Hargreaves a red card.
Hargreaves was sent off for a "spear" tackle on England captain Jamie Peacock in the closing stages of the Bulls' 12-4 Stobart Super League win over Leeds at Odsal on Good Friday.
The Rugby Football League's match-review panel decided referee Ben Thaler dismissed the wrong man when they charged L'Estrange with a grade C dangerous throw offence.
Both Hargreaves and L'Estrange were involved in the tackle that saw Peacock up-ended and dumped onto his neck but the panel decided the blame should lie with the latter.
Warrington prop Garreth Carvell has also been charged with a grade C offence for kicking out in the 59th minute of his side's victory over Widnes last Thursday.
The panel issued formal cautions to Wakefield centre or second rower Brett Ferres, Wigan second rower Gareth Hock and Salford prop Lee Jewitt for incidents in matches over Easter.
Hock was given a caution for a late tackle in the 36th minute of Wigan's Good Friday win at St Helens and could yet face action over his second-half try celebrations.
The second rower was lectured by referee Phil Bentham after he appeared to hurl the ball at Saints fans after scoring the try that clinched a 28-10 victory and the incident was included in match commissioner David Campbell's report.
The matter has been referred to the RFL's compliance department, who are also investigating a crowd disturbance at the Wakefield-Castleford derby on Good Friday.
