Sebastien Chabal: 62 caps for France
Former France international Sebastien Chabal will play for Lyon next season regardless of whether the club is relegated from the Top 14, according to the club's chairman Yvan Patet.
Lyon are currently bottom of the table but the 'Caveman' is still heading south from Racing-Metro, it appears.
Patet told L'Equipe: "Our immediate future in Top 14 has not been taken into consideration. Since the start we worked hard to get that signature. Both parties agreed the length of the contract."
The 34-year-old No.8 has played 62 times for France but was not included in Les Bleus' squads for the 2011 World Cup or 2012 Six Nations.
Chabal could be joined at Lyon by close friend Lionel Nallet, who will also leave Racing-Metro in the summer.
