Australia are hopeful man of the moment David Warner will shake off an injury ahead of the second Commonwealth Bank Series final against Sri Lanka.
The hard-hitting opener smashed 163 from 157 balls to lead the hosts to a 15-run win in the first final in Brisbane on Sunday.
However, his heroics might have come at a cost as he complained of groin soreness following the game and now needs to undergo a fitness test before the second final in Adelaide.
Team-mate David Hussey is hopeful that the left-hander will be able to take his place at the top of the innings come Tuesday.
"We all hope he (Warner) is up and firing tomorrow," Hussey told
AAP.
"It was a fantastic innings and all the boys hope he can replicate that."
Australia made 321 for six on the back of Warner's century on Sunday and then bowled Sri Lanka out for 306.
Skipper Michael Clarke admitted after the match that his team have "a lot of work to do with our powerplay bowling and death bowling" and Hussey agreed that they didn't get things right.
Bit greasy
"The conditions were a bit greasy and it was very hard to stand up for the fast bowlers," he added.
"But if we can just execute our skills ... I think we will go a long way to winning the game.
"I thought we played three-quarters of the perfect game last night - and hopefully there is a perfect game just around the corner."
Hussey took 4-43 and he admits his bowling has improved a lot in recent years.
"I wouldn't say I'm a spinner. If they hit a few pebbles, they might turn a little bit," he said.
"A couple of years, I was probably just classed as a batsman and a muck-around net bowler who bowled to the tail-enders.
"Now I'm opening the bowling in T20 cricket and bowling key overs in one-day cricket, so I definitely take it a little bit more seriously now."
