Jamie Roberts: Ruled out of Exiles clash
Cardiff Blues lock James Down has been ruled out of action for between four and six months.
Down suffered a horrific ankle injury early in the Blues' Heineken Cup victory at Racing Metro on Friday night.
Jamie Roberts was also injured during the impressive 26-20 win in Paris and although he has been ruled out of Friday's Pool Two match with London Irish in Cardiff, he is expected to return for the following week's RaboDirect PRO12 clash with Aironi.
Blues physio Tim Atter said: "James Down had to stay in Paris on the Friday night but flew back on Saturday.
"He had an operation at the University Hospital of Wales by Cardiff Blues surgeon Rhys Thomas on Sunday for a fracture dislocation of his right ankle and is expected to be out for four to six months.
"Jamie Robert will have a scan on his right knee on Monday but it is expected that he won't play this Friday. His knee is a little bit swollen but it is not thought to be a serious injury, however, we will wait on the results of the scan."
