Harlequins have confirmed England full-back Mike Brown has signed a new three-year contract at the club.

Brown, who missed out on the World Cup squad, has put pen to paper on a deal that will see him remain at the Stoop until 2014.

Brown has made more than 150 appearances for the Quins - and was named both the supporters' player of the season and players' player of the season last season.

And Brown is hoping that his continued work under director of rugby Conor O'Shea can help further his international ambitions.

"I am excited to have re-signed to a club that I am so enjoying being a part of," said Brown, who helped England Saxons to Churchill Cup glory in the summer.

"I love playing rugby here with a squad that I have so much belief in. We have a talented, young side that are going in the right direction and want to win more trophies.

"I have played with many of the current squad now for a number of years and I consider many of them not only be team mates but good friends. We are lucky to have good support around us and fantastic training facilities.

"Having Conor O'Shea has been great for the club and I believe he can improve my game even more, and hopefully I can look to achieve more international honours in the future."
