Bopara retains place with Tremeltt and Finn also included

England have named an unchanged 13-man squad for the fourth npower Test against India at The Oval. The world's new number one Test country have stuck to the formula which helped them beat India by an innings at Edgbaston on Saturday and secure a 3-0 lead in the four-match series. Jonathan Trott was absent for the win on his home ground after hurting his shoulder while fielding in the second Test at Trent Bridge. Fast bowlers Steven Finn and Chris Tremlett stay in the squad, while Ravi Bopara retains his place as Trott's batting deputy.

Steady progress

National selector Geoff Miller said: "Jonathan Trott is making steady progress in his rehabilitation from his ongoing shoulder injury but he requires further treatment and won't be fit for the fourth and final npower Test match. As such Ravi Bopara retains his place in the squad. "Chris Tremlett is available for selection following continued treatment for his back injury, and he and Steven Finn are included in a broader 13-man squad for the last Test match of the summer. "The performance at Edgbaston was of the highest quality, but the team will now re-focus on finishing the series in a strong manner with much still to play for." England squad: AJ Strauss (Middlesex, captain), JM Anderson (Lancashire), IR Bell (Warwickshire), RS Bopara (Essex), TT Bresnan (Yorkshire), SCJ Broad (Nottinghamshire), AN Cook (Essex), ST Finn (Middlesex), EJG Morgan (Middlesex), KP Pietersen (Surrey), MJ Prior (wkt, Sussex), GP Swann (Nottinghamshire), CT Tremlett (Surrey)
