Rhinos set for Wigan showdown next

Kevin Sinfield now wants redemption for last year's Challenge Cup final defeat after kicking Leeds to a thrilling 10-8 semi-final victory over Castleford on Sunday. Sinfield levelled the scores with a touchline conversion of Kallum Watkins' 73rd-minute try to send the tie into golden point territory and he maintained his nerve as well as his accuracy when Castleford full-back Ryan McGoldrick was penalised for a high tackle on Danny McGuire in the fourth minute of added time. Leeds will now face Wigan in the final, with the chance to atone for that 30-6 Wembley rout at the hands of Warrington last August. "I don't suppose it's quite sunk in yet," said Sinfield, who performed similar heroics to get the Rhinos past St Helens in the 2003 semi-finals.

Embarrassing

"What happened last year was very embarrassing. We let a lot of people down, including ourselves." "This group under-performed last time and got beat by a very good side," he added. "Hopefully we can do ourselves justice this time. "We'll probably speak about that this week. The majority of the group is the same. It's a new year and an opportunity to play against the best side in the competition at the minute."
