Castleford have confirmed that star stand-off Rangi Chase is fit to play in this afternoon's Challenge Cup semi-final with Leeds.

The 25-year-old New Zealander flew back to Australia earlier this week for a court case relating to an incident that happened before he joined the Tigers in 2008, but returned for the tie at Doncaster's Keepmoat Stadium.

During Friday's pre-match press conference coach Terry Matterson refused to confirm if Chase would play, but on Sunday morning said: "Rangi has trained with the team and he is fit and raring to go. It's a great boost for the squad."

The availability of their in-form stand-off - a candidate for this year's Man of Steel award - is a major boost to the Tigers' prospects of a first Wembley appearance in 19 years.
