England forced into one change at Trent Bridge

Tim Bresnan has replaced Chris Tremlett in the only change to England's starting XI for the second Test against India at Trent Bridge. Tremlett suffered a back spasm on Thursday and was also carrying a minor hamstring injury, prompting the England management not to risk him for the second of back-to-back Tests. Steven Finn had been called-up as cover but the Middlesex seamer was not required and will now travel back to London to play in his county's fixture with Derbyshire. India made two injury-enforced changes to their line-up, Yuvraj Singh and Shanthakumaran Sreesanth coming in for Gautam Gambhir (elbow) and Zaheer Khan (hamstring). Yuvraj will slot into the middle order with Rahul Dravid moving up to open and VVS Laxman filling the number three role. India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni won the toss and opted to bowl first at Trent Bridge in cold, overcast conditions. England hold a 1-0 lead in the four-match series thanks to a 196-run victory at Lord's, which was sealed on Monday.
