De Villiers has called up Sharks lock Mostert to his injury ravaged side
South Africa coach Peter De Villiers has called uncapped lock Gerhard Mostert into his Tri-Nations squad as his injury problems continue to mount.
Johann Muller, who has played 23 Tests, is to return home after failing to recover from a hamstring injury that forced him to withdraw from the team to play Australia on Saturday.
Another lock, Flip van der Merwe, injured his ribs in the opening minute of Saturday's 39-20 defeat by the Wallabies in Sydney and had to be taken off in the first half.

His replacement, Alistair Hargreaves, then suffered an abdominal strain during the match.
Andries Bekker, who has 24 caps, had earlier been ruled out of the World Cup because he requires surgery for a ruptured ankle tendon.
"It never rains but it pours, eh?" said De Villiers. "Are there any locks left in South Africa?
"Then again, you have to overcome these things, that is your challenge in life and hopefully you'll be a better person in the end."
