Cox and fellow Sale Shark Leck have joined Edinburgh
Edinburgh boss Michael Bradley has signed Sale Sharks duo Sean Cox and Chris Leck, the club announced on Friday.
Lock Cox and scrum-half Leck become the first signings for the new head coach since the former Ireland captain took charge earlier this month.
And with Edinburgh due at Edgeley Park for a pre-season friendly on Friday August 19, the pair could make their debuts against their old club.
Cox, who has represented England from Schools to under-21 level, has made of 64 Premiership appearances and 16 in the Heineken Cup and Amlin Challenge Cup.
25-year-old Leck, who resented England at under-16 and under-18 level, has played 11 Premiership matches and appeared five times in Europe.
The duo will join up with the rest of the squad when pre-season training begins on 6 June.
"It's great news for the club that we've secured Sean and Chris and that they'll be here right from the first day of pre-season training in a couple of weeks' time," said Bradley on the club's website www.edinburghrugby.org.
"The players are used to the sort of demanding environment and competitions in which Edinburgh operate, and they'll both bring quality and appetite to their respective positions.
"We're still in the process of adding to what is already a strong squad full of international players.
"What we've got to offer is a team and club committed to continued improvement on and off the field, and it's then a case of identifying the right players and characters to contribute to that progress."
"I've been really impressed by what Michael has had to say on his vision for the team, and I'm delighted to have become part of his plans."
