Henson: Has reportedly left Toulon
Gavin Henson will not be offered a new contract with Toulon, according to reports in France.
The 29-year-old joined the Top 14 outfit from Saracens on an initial five-month deal, with Henson hoping to impress enough to earn a two-year contract.
However club president Mourad Boudjellal told the French newspaper Var-Matin that Henson would not be with the club next season.
"We do not want to blame anyone, but for next season we hope that team spirit is a priority," Boudjellal is reported to have said.
Henson's time in France has been dogged by controversy, with the Wales international having struggled with injury before he was handed a one-week ban for clashing with his team-mates in a nightclub.
Henson did score on his debut against Stade Francais, though, and made his second start in another victory over Toulouse.
But with Willie Mason expected to play in the centres after his high-profile switch, as well as Matt Giteau to fit into the star-studded side, Henson was also facing a fight to remain with the club.
