Student left-arm spinner claims England batsman's scalp

England batsman Kevin Pietersen struck 30 for Surrey against Cambridge MCCU on his first appearance of the season. Pietersen was making his return after undergoing surgery on the hernia injury that forced him home early from the World Cup. The right-hander hit two fours and two sixes before his perceived weakness against left-arm spin re-appeared, becoming the first of teenager Zafar Ansari's 5-33 haul when he edged low to slip. Surrey declared their first innings at 234-9 on the first evening of the three-day affair at Fenner's, with Cambridge MCCU reaching the close on 151-4 in reply. Pietersen is looking to find his form ahead of England's first Test of the summer against Sri Lanka, which starts in Cardiff on May 26.
