Thomas: Joining Cornish Pirates
Championship title-chasing Cornish Pirates have bolstered their squad for next season with the signing of Leeds fly-half Ceiron Thomas.
The Welshman, who joined Carnegie from the Scarlets, is one of a number of new arrivals expected at the Pirates over the summer.
The west country side are currently in the play-off semi-finals, but even if they do go all the way and emulate Exeter's win the two-legged final the Pirates will remain in the Championship.
And despite having not entered the promotion application process due to the size of their ground, the Pirates have given a signal of their intention for next year with their new additions.
Joining Thomas will be former England Sevens, Wasps and Sale back David Doherty, US Eagles international Andrew Suniula and Dragons centre Tom Cooper.
The Pirates have also signed Cornish All Blacks centre Ryan Westren, Plymouth Albion scrum-half Tom Kessell and Moseley No.8 Ben Maidment.
Cornish Pirates high performance manager Chris Stirling said: "The coaching staff are very excited with the quality of the new signings and strongly believe that these new additions will strengthen the squad and enable us to move forward and be a stronger team next season."
As well as the new additions Phil Burgess, Rob Elloway, Laurie McGlone, Mike Myerscough, Alan Paver, Carl Rimmer, Jonny Bentley, Wes Davies, Drew Locke, and Rhodri McAtee have all agreed to extend their stay at the club.
