Sale second row to rejoin Championship outfit

Sale second row Nic Rouse has agreed to return to ambitious Championship outfit Nottingham. Rouse spent four years at Meadow Lane, winning the Player of the Year award in his first season, before moving to the Sharks in the 2010. However the 30-year-old, a product of the Bath academy, has now signed a two-year contract to rejoin Nottingham in the summer. And Rouse, who made more than 120 appearances during his first spell at the club, had no hesitation in agreeing to return. Rouse told the club's official site: "It was an easy decision. I'm massively excited by a return to Nottingham Rugby. "I've learned and improved so much in my time with Sale Sharks, but I couldn't turn down the opportunity to try and aspire to that level with the players and coaching team at Nottingham, many of whom I already have so many good memories with. "I can't wait to rise to the challenges and get stuck in with the guys, not to mention getting back to my home in Nottingham, a sports mad City that deserves top-level rugby."
