Glamorgan have secured the signing of all-rounder Graham Wagg on a three-year deal from Derbyshire.

Wagg spent five years at Derbyshire, where he made his return to cricket after sitting out a 15-month ban for a positive cocaine test. He had previously been at Warwickshire.

The 27-year-old has claimed over 200 first-class wickets in his career as well as scoring over 2,000 runs. His only first-class century came against Northamptonshire in 2008.

"I'm really happy to have signed with Glamorgan, they are an ambitious club and are steeped in tradition and I'm really looking forward to playing at the newest Test match ground - the SWALEC Stadium," Wagg told his new club's official website.

"I know some of the guys at Glamorgan and everyone seems very friendly so I'm looking forward to coming to Cardiff."

Glamorgan director of cricket Matthew Maynard is confident that Wagg can help lead the Welsh side to success during his time there.

Maynard added: "Graham is a quality player and a superb addition to the squad. He's a talented player and I'm sure he will help bring some silverware to the club in future years."
