England team director Andy Flower gave his backing to under-pressure opener Alastair Cook after the second Test victory over Pakistan at Edgbaston.
"I'm sure he'll come good - he's got a very good (overall) record, he's only 25 years old and has a lot of experience now."

Cook's struggles - he is averaging 14 with a highest score of 29 in four Tests this summer - is the only major blight on the otherwise excellent recent form of Flower's squad.
The Essex opener, who is Andrew Strauss' official vice-captain and led the side in Bangladesh last winter, made scores of 17 and four as England claimed a nine-wicket success in Birmingham to open a 2-0 lead over Pakistan in the four-match series.
"He has had a hard time just recently (but) all players will go through these hard times at certain points in their career," Flower told Sky Sports.
"He is working hard at his game and might tinker with a couple things over the next few days.
"I'm sure he'll come good - he's got a very good (overall) record, he's only 25 years old and has a lot of experience now.
"I expect him to come good."
Cook, who is centrally contracted, appears set to retain his place in England's squad for the third Test, which starts at the Oval on August 18.
Flower, meanwhile, also voiced his support for Stuart Broad after the paceman was fined 50 percent of his match fee for "throwing the ball inappropriately" at Pakistan batsman Zulqarnain Haider on the third day at Edgbaston.
"I think Stuart Broad's attitude is excellent," said Flower. "He's combative, aggressive and is a very fine cricketer.
"He is a confident cricketer and adds a lot to our side by doing so. You want people like him in your side.
"If you're talking about that specific incident, he knows he overstepped the mark and that's why he accepted the penalty."
Strauss added: "It didn't look good on the TV. I don't think it was something he was trying to do but it didn't look good and he has paid the price for it."
