Edinburgh have secured the services of Worcester pair Netani Talei and Alex Grove for the next Magners League season.

Back-row Talei has signed for the Scottish outfit on a three-year contract, while Grove will join on loan from the relegated Guinness Premiership side.

The 27-year-old Talei, who was a regular at Sixways over the last three years, brings international experience having been capped 16 times by Fiji.

"I'm really excited to be joining Edinburgh," he told the club's official website. "I was at the club earlier this month and met up with (head coach) Rob Moffat and I know they play the same type of rugby that I want to play.

"I'm looking forward to an open style which I think can suit my off-loading game."

Edinburgh boss Moffat is confident that Talei will quickly settle into the squad.

He added: "We're pleased to have signed Netani. We've watched him closely and have done our homework on him.

"We believe he'll give us that dynamic ball-carrying ability in the back-row and we feel his strengths will dovetail nicely with how we play."

Grove will join his new team-mates for pre-season after the conclusion of Scotland's tour of Argentina.

The 22-year-old hopes that playing in the Magners League will increase his chances of cementing a permanent place in the Scotland side.

"The move is to give me the best chance to continue my international career and it's a great opportunity to play with the quality backs in the Edinburgh team," he said.

"Edinburgh play a high-tempo game and I'd like to think that plays to my strengths."
