Hobson: New deal
Highly-rated Bath duo Scott Hobson and Mark Lilley have agreed new two-year deals at the Rec.
The 22-year-old Hobson has impressed this season in the second row in the absence of Danny Grewcock, while front-rower Lilley has forced his way into the reckoning for regular starts.
And Hobson believes that working with the likes of Grewcock and Stuart Hooper has helped him improve as a player.
"It has been a challenge to step up to play with the first team, but being able to play alongside the senior guys has been fantastic," he admitted.
"I have learnt so much from players such as Stuart Hooper and Danny Grewcock and I plan to continue to work hard over the next two seasons so that I can have more chances to wear that first team jersey."
Lilley, who can play prop or hooker, insists Bath is a special place for him, especially as his dad played at the club.
"I love playing for Bath," he said.
"My dad used to play here so it is a special place to me and my family and the team are also playing a really exciting style of rugby so I am just really pleased to be part of that.
"When you get offered the chance to play in the first team, you just want to grab it and really go for it."
