Injured Rhinos captain unavailable for Harlequins match

Leeds Rhinos captain Kevin Sinfield will not appear in Friday's engage Super League clash against Harlequins due to a leg injury. Sinfield limped off in the first half of the Rhinos' 18-10 Gillette World Club Challenge defeat to Melbourne Storm last Sunday after suffering damage to his thigh. The 29-year-old loose forward has missed just four matches for the club in the last three seasons. Meirion Jones, the club's head of physiotherapy services, has confirmed the skipper will be unavailable for the impending Headingley Carnegie showdown. "Kevin Sinfield had a severe impact to the front of the thigh," said Jones. "We will monitor his progress but he will not be available this week and will require further assessment after the weekend ahead of our next game." Meanwhile, Australian winger Scott Donald has undergone reconstructive surgery after dislocating his shoulder last month. "Scott Donald underwent a shoulder reconstruction operation on Monday morning which we are pleased to say went well," added Jones. "The same prognosis remains in place from previous announcements with a 12 week recovery necessary."
