Deacon: Has signed for Gloucester
Leicester Tigers back-row forward Brett Deacon has been signed by Gloucester on a two-year deal and will move to Kingsholm at the end of the season.
"It's always a tough decision to leave somewhere you've spent your whole career, but it reflects well on Brett that he was prepared to make the move."
Bryan Redpath Quotes of the week
The 27-year-old, who is the younger brother of England star Louis Deacon, is eager to play first-team rugby, something that was no longer guaranteed after seven years at Welford Road.
Deacon has recorded 114 appearances for the Tigers since making his debut against London Irish in 2003.
Delighted
Gloucester head coach Bryan Redpath is delighted to welcome Deacon to the West Country club.
"We're pleased to have secured Brett's signature as he's a good age, is English-qualified, has a lot of experience in a winning environment at Leicester and is ambitious to establish himself at a new club," said Redpath.
"It's always a tough decision to leave somewhere you've spent your whole career, but it reflects well on Brett that he was prepared to make the move.
"We look forward to welcoming him in the summer."
