Hoggard: A target for Kent
Kent have joined the race to sign former England bowler Matthew Hoggard following his release by Yorkshire.
Leicestershire were the first county to announce their interest in signing Hoggard, whose 15-year association with Yorkshire ended in acrimonious circumstances.
And now Kent have confirmed they are keen on signing the 32-year-old, who was Yorkshire's leading wicket-taker last season.
Kent's new head coach Paul Farbrace told Kent on Sunday: "Any seam bowler that is on the market with that sort of quality you have to be interested in.
"Anyone with that quality at 32 years of age and has taken more than 600 first-class wickets, you have to have a look at. He is someone that would bring quality to the attack.
"We have talked about him, yes, and we are looking at his record as we need to know all about him."
