Scrum-half suffers torn hamstring

Dwayne Peel will miss the remainder of Wales' Six Nations campaign after suffering a torn hamstring. The scrum-half will be replaced in the starting XV to face Italy in Rome on Saturday by Ospreys' Mike Phillips, with Warren Fury of London Irish providing cover on the bench. Peel, who has started only one Test during Warren Gatland's tenure as Wales head coach, suffered the injury playing for his club Sale Sharks in their 32-25 Guinness Premiership loss to Newcastle on Sunday. He is expected to out of action for a month, meaning he will also miss Wales' final match of the Six Nations, against Ireland in Cardiff on Saturday week. Fury, who joined the squad for training on Monday, won two caps as a replacement during Wales' tour of South Africa last summer.
