Former Australia seamer Glenn McGrath has cast doubt on his future in the Indian Premier League (IPL) because of security concerns.

"I have agreed to go back for this year."
Glenn McGrath Quotes of the week

McGrath is contracted to the Delhi Daredevils and helped the Indian capital's team reach the semi-finals in the inaugural edition of the tournament earlier this year.

The second season of the IPL is scheduled to begin on April 10, but the terrorist attacks in Mumbai that threatened England's Test series with India have created new doubt.

And although McGrath is willing to go back, he first wants to be provided with assurances over security.

"I have agreed to go back for this year," McGrath told the Herald Sun.

"But that was before everything happened over in India anyway, so I guess we will just play it by ear and see what happens closer to the time.

"But as it stands I am going back for another season."
