Dan Carter is aiming to build on his perfect record against England when world champions New Zealand play at Twickenham on Saturday.

The 30-year-old is regarded as one of the greatest ever fly-halves and is an opponent England are yet to get the better of in nine meetings.

When England toppled the All Black 15-13 in June 2003, their first success in New Zealand since 1973, in a warm-up match ahead of the World Cup, a fresh-faced Carter was an unused substitute.

Ever since Carter has been perfect against the 2003 World Cup winners, scoring four tries, 27 conversions and 33 penalties - an impressive 167 points.

Carter made an excellent start in games against England, landing three conversions and five penalties in a 36-3 victory June 2004 in Dunedin playing as an inside centre.

The Crusaders man scored his first try in his second game on England's tour of New Zealand, this time the All Blacks ran out 36-12 winners after trailing by four points at half time.

Carter moved to fly-half for their next meeting in 2005 and this time it was his first at Twickenham and a keenly-contested affair. Carter kicked three penalties as the visitors triumphed 23-19.

A year later and New Zealand ran out convincing 41-20 winners in west London. Carter was again a pivotal figure, scoring 26 points against captain Martin Corry's team. His try in the game is his only score to date in five visits to the home of English rugby.

The next two meetings were back in New Zealand and the victories kept coming. The All Blacks claimed a 37-20 success in Auckland before a 44-12 romp in Christchurch. Carter contributed 22 points in both games, more than England scored.

Carter v England

Win 36-3 Dunedin, June 2004
Win 36-12 Auckland, June 2004
Win 23-19 Twickenham, Nov 2005
Win 41-20 Twickenham, Nov 2006
Win 37-20 Auckland, June 2008
Win 44-12 Christchurch, June 2008
Win 32-6 Twickenham, Nov 2008
Win 19-6 Twickenham, Nov 2009
Win 26-16 Twickenham, Nov 2010

England's last three head-to-heads have all been at Twickenham but the home side have failed to be on the winning team with Carter in the opposition.

In November 2008 the southern hemisphere giants raced to a comfortable 32-6 triumph. A year on and a slight improvement from England but still a 19-6 win for the All Blacks.

Carter's last game against England came in November 2010. England put up a better showing, but two conversions and four penalties from Carter helped the tourists to a 26-16 success after opening up a 14-point lead after 21 minutes.

The talented All Black missed last weekend's 33-10 win in Wales with Achilles and calf problems and is confident of facing England. Can Carter make it 10 out of 10 against Stuart Lancaster's team?
