Second-placed PSV Eindhoven dropped points at home as they were beaten 3-2 by Groningen on Saturday, while Vitesse Arnhem drew 2-2 with Heerenveen.

Memphis Depay put PSV ahead in the third minute but the visitors levelled through Richairo Zivkovic before Filip Kostic put them in front in the 20th.

Jurgen Locadia's penalty drew the home side level before the break but they were unable to find an answer to Tjaronn Chery's 67th-minute winner.

Elsewhere, second-half goals from Australia international Jason Davidson and Matthew Amoah saw Heracles come from behind to beat NEC 2-1 after Michael Higdon had put the hosts in front.

Vitesse drew 2-2 against Heerenveen, with Mike Havenaar (31) and Bertrand Traore (67) on target for the home side, while Alfred Finnbogason (39) and Bilal Basacikoglu (58) scored for Heerenveen.
