Hoffenheim have bolstered their attacking options by signing winger Steven Zuber from CSKA Moscow.

The former Swiss Under-21 international has put pen to paper on a four-year deal at the Rhein-Neckar Arena after the clubs shook hands on an undisclosed fee.

Zuber, who turns 23 on Sunday, joins a talented attacking line-up that managed to score the third highest goals tally in the Bundesliga last year with 72.

Although he will have a fight on his hands to earn a starting berth in Markus Gisdol's side, club sporting director Alexander Rosen described Zuber as a "fast and dynamic newcomer" and backed him to make a difference.

"With his qualities Steven is an asset to our squad and gives us even more attacking options," he said.

Zuber made 27 appearances last season, scoring once, as CSKA Moscow retained the Russian Premier League and also won the Russian Super Cup for the second year in a row.

The 22-year-old has only been in the Russian capital for a little over a year after moving from Swiss side Grasshopper, where he scored 33 goals and created 23 strikes in 146 appearances over five years.

Hoffenheim kick off their 2014-15 Bundesliga campaign at home against Augsburg on August 23.
