Stuttgart's director of sport Fredi Bobic has ruled out a return to the Bundesliga club for Kevin Kuranyi, even though his own superior would not say no to a move.

The 32-year-old former Germany international, who enjoyed the best years of his career in Stuttgart, is out of contract with Dynamo Moscow at the end of the season and he has hinted at a return to the Bundesliga.

Stuttgart would be his first-choice destination, although that is a dream which is unlikely to be realised.

"Everybody knows that I have a good relationship with Kevin, but his return is not an issue," Bobic told Kicker magazine.

Bobic has the final say when it comes to transfers in and out of Stuttgart, even if the club's president Bernd Wahler appears keen on Kuranyi's return.

"We have spoken about and with Kevin," he told the Stuttgarter Zeitung. "There's no question, we are interested in Kevin."
