England v India: Stuart Broad will not be put in any jeopardy after his injury at Old Trafford

England head coach Peter Moores insists Stuart Broad will not be put in any jeopardy heading into the final Test against India.

Broad was unable to return to the pitch for India's second innings at Old Trafford on Saturday after being hit in the face by a delivery from Varun Aaron which left him with a suspected broken nose.

We wouldn't put Stuart in any jeopardy at all, but if's he's okay and fully fit we'll definitely play him because of his quality.

With England now 2-1 up in the series, Moores insists he will not be put in jeopardy heading to the The Oval for next week's fifth Test.

He told Sky Sports: "We wouldn't put Stuart in any jeopardy at all, but if's he's okay and fully fit we'll definitely play him because of his quality.

"We're looking to play him if we can, he'll want to play I'm sure. It depends a little bit on what the specialist says."

Moores feels his squad are finally starting to show their potential after securing back-to-back Test victories.

He said:  "The last three days have been a great three days for us.

"The senior players stepping up has been really key. The way Stuart Broad and Jimmy Anderson bowled up front in the first innings set a real tone for the game.

"Also the young players have really started to step up. International sport gives you a chance to develop quickly and Mooen (Ali) has taken that chance. He's worked very hard in the nets and he's starting to show that in the middle."
