Morecambe have handed teenage defender Will Bell a one-year professional deal and loaned him to Welsh Premier League side Bala.
The 19-year-old has played for both the Shrimps' youth and reserve teams but now gets a shot at senior football in Wales.
"It's been a long one but I'm just made up to get it sealed and done," he told the club's official YouTube channel.
"It's been a good pre-season and I'm happy to put pen to paper.
"I'm going to do a season-long loan out at Bala Town in the Welsh Premier League just to get some senior game time. It's much needed.
"It's another year training full time with Morecambe; I'm happy to be here and hopefully I can go out and prove myself on loan and then come back and try and prove myself for a space in the first team."
